It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden death of Lucia Wandibi Waireri of London, Ontario, Canada.
Lucia, 39, was found dead in her apartment by local police who conducted a welfare check following several days of non communication to friends and family. She lived alone.
According to family, Lucia stopped responding to communications on Thursday November 25 and was found dead on Saturday November 27. The cause of her death was not immediately known.
Lucia was the loving daughter of Jane Nyangugi Githenya of Nyali, Mombasa and Francis Waireri Mutero of Wichita, Kansas. Granddaughter of Samuel Githenya of Ndenderu, Kiambu. Niece to Nduta Mui (Maryland). Cousin to Lucy Njoki (Seattle), Moses and Esther Kinuthia (Massachusetts) and many more.
She attended Edith Cowan University in Australia and graduated in 2009. In 2011, Lucia relocated to Canada and lived in London, Ontario until her passing. She was very outgoing and had many friends in Kenya, Australia and Canada.
The family wishes to see Lucia one more time and they are humbly requesting financial support to lay Lucia to rest in Kenya. Target goal is USD 25, 000. More information will be communicated later.
