Kids are back to school, and with a new school year comes new challenges, excitements, and successes. Students, now is the time to map out your year and the goals you will set for yourselves. With this clean slate, make the decision to do something different, something that will make you feel good, and make others feel good.

If you have the courage to begin, you have the courage to succeed. David Viscott

Top 9 Resolutions

The first day of a new school year is almost as magical as the moment the ball drops at midnight on December 31 in that there’s so much to look forward to.

Take advantage of this time by setting a few goals, or resolutions, for yourself. And there is nothing to say that you can’t have more than one !

  1. Get organized and keep a planner or diary so you can keep track of all of your commitments and activities.
  2. Start your day by eat a healthy nutritious breakfast for a slow steady supply of energy to last you.
  3. Make a new friend, talk to someone you haven’t talked to before, or invite the new girl for lunch.
  4. Join a new club or try something new, be it an instrument or sport. It may unleash a new found talent!
  5. Get in a good routine and make sure you are going to bed at the same time every night.
  6. Treat yourself to a new backpack and make sure you have all the tools you’ll need for the year.
  7. Take some time out from tech and let your mind unwind. Facebook before bedtime wont help you sleep.
  8. Say thank you to your teachers. They put a lot of work into giving you the best so a little recognition can go a long way.
  9. Commit to everything you do. Commit to your school work, your extra-curricular, and your resolutions.

Success Plan

Some things to consider before making your resolutions to ensure they are a success:

  • How many resolutions are you going to have? One or many?
  • How will you implement them?
  • How will you know you have been successful?
  • What habits will you embed to ensure you keep them up?
