A professor praised for helping with a student’s baby during a lesson

What would you do if you were supervising an exam, and one of your students needed to do the test with her baby in tow?

A university professor has been widely praised in Ivory Coast for carrying a student’s baby on his back during a lesson.

Pictures of Honore Kahi, a communications lecturer at the university of Bouake, have been widely shared on social media.

He said he offered to help a young women in his class when her baby started crying. Images taken by another student show Mr Kahi continuing to teach with a peacefully sleeping baby, wearing a pink hat, strapped to his back. Mr Kahi said the student was very motivated to keep studying, and so he wanted to help her.
