Marco Muzzo gets 10 years in prison for drunk-driving crash that killed 4
Driver admitted to being impaired when his car smashed into a minivan, killing three children and their grandfather.
A man who pleaded guilty to impaired driving in a crash that killed three children and their grandfather has been sentenced to 10 years in prison in a Newmarket court this morning. This is minus time already served.
Marco Muzzo pleaded guilty in February to a Sept. 27, 2015 crash in Vaughan that killed 65-year-old Gary Neville and his three grandchildren: Daniel, 9, Harrison, 5, and Milagros Neville-Lake, 2.
The children’s grandmother and great-grandmother were also seriously injured in the crash.
He also received a 12 years driving ban.
Ontario court states day parole possible after 1/6th of sentence. Could be out in 1.6 years.
The Crown had asked for 10 to 12 years, while the defence requested eight years.
