Catherine Wambui Kariba death & funeral

It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden death of Catherine Wambui Kariba in a drowning accident at Lac Ste. Anne in Edmonton, Alberta, on June 30, 2021.

Catherine was born in Mukurwe Village, Gatundu North, Kiambu in Kenya. She was 38 years old.

She completed her education in Kenya and migrated to Canada in 2009. She was currently enrolled for a Diploma in Psychiatric Nursing at MacEwan University, Ponoka campus, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Catherine is the last-born daughter of the late Joseph Kariba and Monica Njeri Kariba. Beloved wife of Jody Mcmillan and loving mother to Brye Njeri Mcmillan both of Edmonton, Alberta. She was sister to Alex Njuguna (Thika), Mrs Jane Njoroge Wanjagi (Ruiru), Peter Kariba (Brampton, Ontario), Alice Mwaura (Ruiru), Edward Kariba, late John Kariba (Thika), Cecilia Mwihaki Rabasa (Webuye), Esther Kariba (Edmonton, Alberta) and Rose Kariba, Luton (UK). Catherine was an aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Visitation, viewing and funeral service is planned to be held at Serenity Funeral Home, Edmonton, Alberta on a date to be communicated.
