Rev Canon Dr. Wycliffe Balongo died on March 13th 2016, while he was undergoing treatment in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The deceased is the husband of Rebecca Balongo. Father of Faith Balongo Mbugua, Amos Balongo, Joyce Shiroya of Ottawa, Canada and Andrea Balongo.

Wycliffe Balongo is a Canon and elder of All Saints Cathedral Church and the Anglican Church of Kenya. He faithfully and joyfully served the body of Christ in Strategic leadership and training. He also served as chairman of the Bible Society and Bible Translation & Literacy. He was also an adjunct professor at Daystar University.

Canon Balongo was an affable man of God and throughout his life he helped and served so many. He committed his life to knowing and serving God. He was a peaceful gentle leader who touched the lives of so many. Those who were privileged to know him and serve with him, are forever grateful for the imprint he left on their lives. He was a true friend to many.
